The group standardizing Internet Protocol, IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) operates two working groups on IPv6. This session consists of Keynote Speeches from the Co-Chairs of those two working groups discussing the move toward world standards on IPv6 technology. Steve Deering, Co-Chair of the IPng WG will report on the establishment of standards on IPv6 Protocol. Alain Durand, Co-Chair of the ngtrans WG will discuss technological strategies for transition from IPv4.
